ABOUT THE COURSE
The Accounting Course Level 2 covers more complicated accounting topics like lease accounting, time value of money, investment accounting, and more. Learn about ownership of the underlying asset, lease term, present value, future value, investment instrument and more. Some of the topics are analysing accounting for leases from both the lessee’s and lessor’s perspective, non-profit investment accounting, problem involving time value of money and investment procedures.
After completing this course, trainee should be able to:
1. Explore the accounting for finance and operating leases for lessees.
2. Explore the accounting for operating, direct Financing, and sales-type leases for lessors.
3. Discover how to calculate right of use asset, lease liability, interest expense, and amortization of the leased asset.
4. Calculate and analyse present value and future value of money problems.
5. Identify the characteristics of the various types of investments, and the rules under which the investment classifications can be used.
